Jesus Christ, “Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness” (1 Peter 2:24 NKJV). After He was bodily raised from the dead and witnessed by hundreds, He finally spoke to His Apostles and said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:15-16 NKJV). “So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God” (Mark 16:19 NKJV). The inspired Apostle Peter quoted David’s Psalm 16:8-11 and said, “”Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne” (Acts 2:30 NKJV). Jesus has been on David’s throne in Heaven since that sermon.
