Knoxville’s Zaevion Dobson, forever 15, threw himself between his friends and gang gunfire, and died December 17, 2015. His family and friends will remember Jesus’ statement: “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” (John 15:13 NKJV). Zaevion died a hero among violent cowards. His friends are alive because of his bravery.
Heaven’s Jesus Christ, forever, threw Himself between His friends and eternal Hell-fire, and died on a cross in 33 A.D. Those who are saved by His sacrifice always know Jesus: “Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness” (1 Peter 2:23-24 NKJV). So we who “were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death” to “walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us” (Romans 6:3; Ephesians 5:2 NKJV). Jesus Christ is the “hero” to all who are saved through Him.
