“Do not be wise in your own opinion” (Romans 12:16 NKJV), or, “wise in yourselves.” “Polls” used to be called “Opinion Polls,” because there was no established fact in them. Unproven “opinions” mean nothing of significance outside the 1000 or so people who have been asked for their opinion. Being “wise in your own opinion,” and directly contradicting God’s command, is done every time “opinion polls” are reported by Media as if these speak for an entire population of hundreds of millions! The only Poll that matters is when the living, citizenry’s votes are protected, and counted. Jewish leaders “sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but found none” (Matthew 26:59-60 NKJV). Hearing two “false witnesses,” they were asked, “’What do you think? They answered and said, ‘He is deserving of death’” (Matthew 26:66 NKJV). Accepting an “opinion poll” as fact crucified Jesus Christ!
