11-3-2017 Worship God, Not Man

“Choose your own church.” “Dress as you please.” “Be entertained in worship services.” These are the appeals made to people who do not want to change. For Moses to approach Him, God said, “Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground” (Exodus 3:5 NKJV). Reverential attitudes are reflected by our approach. Jesus said, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16 NKJV); and “the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved” (Acts 2:47 NKJV). Jesus adds to His church those who obey His will for salvation. Church worship should “offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 2:5 NKJV). Who chose your church?
