The New Testament writers, “did not follow cunningly devised fables” (2 Peter 1:16 NKJV) when they wrote about Jesus Christ. A “fable” is a “myth, fairy tale, or falsehood.” David said, “Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered” (Psalm 40:5 NKJV). Just reading the Bible “in order,” and without myths, builds a powerful, attractive case for us to love and serve Him. He created our world and us from nothing, led the history of mankind to Jesus Christ, and showed us His love through the cross. “In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him” (1 John 4:9 NKJV).
