Wildfire, beginning November 23, continued to spread, raging over the mountains, fanned at last by hurricane-velocity wind, engulfed Gatlinburg and extended all the way into Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Thousands of people were forced to evacuate their premises, both personal dwellings and businesses. before the buildings burned up. With deep respect, many thanks were given to the police, firefighters, emergency personnel, and volunteers who had alerted, saved and protected them. Who brought volunteers together with a common desire to help their fellowman? God! “For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another” (1 John 3:11 NKJV). Who brought the rains that reduced the damaging fires? It is God “Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who prepares rain for the earth” (Psalm 147:8 NKJV) and “sends rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matthew 5:45 NKJV). Thank God for His help!
