(12) IT IS A MISTAKE TO BE CONCERNED WITH OUTER BEAUTY AND NOT CHARACTER.

12. IT IS A MISTAKE TO BE CONCERNED WITH OUTER BEAUTY AND NOT CHARACTER.
Genesis 6:2 – “The sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.”
They saw what was beautiful to the external eyes, and that’s what they chose. Men of God should know better, but it is easy to fall prey to this mistake that has been around since the beginning almost. It is an error to be more concerned with outer looks than inner character. God is more focused on good works than good looks (cf. I Tim. 2:9,10). Remember, marriage based on physical beauty alone almost always leads to serious problems because physical beauty does not last (cf. Prov. 31:30)
