4-11-2017 The Valley of Opinion

“Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones” (Proverbs 3:7-8 NKJV).  In this country, we value opinion over facts and truth.  There are far more “opinion polls” than there are “fact-checkers.” Make this proverb plainer, “Do not be wise in your own opinion” (Romans 12:16 NKJV).  The only way to live a good, strong life is to “fear the LORD and depart from evil.”  “Fear” is “respect,” and “depart” is to leave it off.  “But, I think” is no substitute for: “I thought about my ways, And turned my feet to Your testimonies. I made haste, and did not delay To keep Your commandments” (Psalm 119:59-60 NKJV).  The Valley of Opinion is in the Land of the Lost.
