After quoting David’s prophecy from Psalm 16:8-11, Peter said, “Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses” (Acts 2:30-32 NKJV). Beginning on that Pentecost in the First Century, Jesus Christ was already on the throne of David in Heaven. Jesus was raised “to sit on his throne.” All who teach and believe that Jesus is NOT YET on that throne are denying His resurrection from the dead! Makes for an empty “Easter Service,” doesn’t it?
