“Let the proud be ashamed, For they treated me wrongfully with falsehood; But I will meditate on Your precepts” (Psalm 119:78 NKJV). This is a good verse with which to discuss “cyber-bullying.” “The proud” have power because they deceitfully lure, and verbally abuse, others on public media. When that happens, we should simply say, “You’re opinion of me is not as important as God’s opinion is.” The point is, they don’t know you and you don’t know them through their lies. “Cyber-bullies” mistreat by wrongfully made statements, that are “falsehood” (a.k.a. “lies). Jesus said the Devil is the father of lies (John 8:44 NKJV), so they have actually identified themselves. Don’t spend so much time on social media such as Facebook or Snapchat, where liars abound, but rather “meditate” on God’s Word. The Bible will tell you what God really thinks about you…and it’s good!
