A more clear vision of our mission

Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, “Look, half of my possessions, Lord, I will give to the poor; and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will pay back four times as much.” Then Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he too is a son of Abraham. (Luke 19:8-9 NRSV)

Dear Heavenly Father ~ thank you from the depths of our hearts for the precious gift of human life on this new day. Help us Lord to more completely appreciate the sincere heart of repentance in this example of one of Jesus’ converts. Give us a more clear vision of our mission to carry the message to places where sin has gone and grace is needed and appreciated the most. Open the hearts of people lost in sin so they will hear the news that is truly good for all people – as it is and has been for even me. Forgive us for times when we may have looked for easy places to work in sowing gospel seeds. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
