It’s quiet around the place this morning, and the Old Cowboy has been thinking about things learned in the oil fields of Oklahoma. An old saying comes to mind; “Any man can be a father, but it takes a special person to be a dad.” We’ve all heard that. My mind too drifts to Deuteronomy and the 4th Chapter where Moses is presenting the commands on obedience. Down in verse 9 we read; “Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren.” Spend some time today telling your kids and grandkids about the things your eyes have seen, and what is in your heart.
