An Old Cowboy thought

An Old Cowboy musing this morning which starts with a comment of Bertirand Russell; “Why is propaganda so much more successful when it stirs up hatred then when it tries to stir up friendly feelings.” A couple of things do come to mind and one is Proverbs 13:2-3 “A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth, but the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence. He who guards his mouth preserves his life, but he who opens wide his lips shall have distruction.” The other verse would be from Jesus as recorded in Matthew 12:36 “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.” From this cowboys perspective some are slow to learn, or don’t read the right books.
