Astounding blessings

“And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God, but the one who denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God. (Luke 12:8-9 ESV)

Dear Heavenly Father ~ thank you Lord for the astounding blessings that are coming our way because of your infinite grace and mercy toward creatures made in your image. Great us moral courage equal to the challenges that daily come to our confession of faith in your beloved Son as our Lord and Master. We can almost hear the joyful noises made in your presence by those who remained loyal to Jesus even while others weakly surrendered to the enemies threats. Help us O Lord to be a source of help and encouragement to our brothers and sisters who live in lands where Christ is not viewed as King and the Spirit inspired Scriptures are considered as myths. Lead us in the way of truth. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

** We had a more than wonderful Lord’s Day worship here in Slavyansk with the brothers and sisters. Following worship we enjoyed a time of snacks and fellowship. We spent greater amount of time with the young students and later went outdoors with them to play a few games and enjoy summertime in Ukraine. Some have not heard an update about Galina’s health and with great risk of being help accountable for discussing her health – I only say that she is well and was determined that nothing was going to keep her home in bed come Sunday morning. We have been running in many directions since then. It is now Tuesday around noon here in Ukraine. We have been able to visit with Seva several times, gone to a movie with him and just been hanging out together when we can. A few pictures of him with us are posted on mine and Galina’s Facebook pages. Today we are preparing to go with Galina’s brother to the cemetery where Zhenya and his grandparents are buried. The most embarrassing and disturbing things happened this past Sunday. One of a preacher’s nightmares…. The visiting preacher who had agreed to come out and preach in my absence this past Sunday – didn’t show up. No one was notified and I will forever have mud on my face. I’m sure he must have had serious complications and I’ll forgive him. (and remove him from my list) 🙁
