At the risk of sounding cliche, I’d have to say my best Christmas is the one I’m currently enjoying, whether now or in the future. As I get older, I’m learning to enjoy every day of life as a blessing from God, with the challenge of using each day wisely & in His service. For the faithful Christian, the best day of his/her life is today, understanding that I am one step closer to eternal fellowship with my Lord and Savior, as well as the Father, Holy Spirit, angels, & all the faithful throughout the ages. Truly, as Paul stated, the Christian’s motto should be, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Phil. 1:21)!
That said, several especially good Christmas seasons come to mind for me. One was 2001, when I proposed to my beloved on Christmas eve/day (I proposed right at midnight, so hard to say which day it was exactly). Then, in 2003, our first child, Joshua, arrived on December 9, so that was a special Christmas. Subsequently, our first Christmas with Levi in 2005, Rachel in 2007, & now Noah in 2010, will always be special memories for our family. God truly has blessed our family!
