A court in the Church of England has ruled against padded chairs in a medieval church. As if they had nothing better to do. Reminds one of the old saying about rearranging chairs on the sinking Titanic.
Of course, our people don’t ever do anything like this, do they? We may not have our own church courts, but the bitter joke among our people is fighting over what color to paint the walls.
Our people really like padded pews, so fights have to break out over something else.
God forbid that our buildings be considered as incidental, unimportant things in our faith.
