I avoid talking politics, because it’s divisive. The gospel must be free to speak. At times, however, there are principles that appear to work in every sphere, perhaps universally. Here is one:
The cost of the battle is sometimes high, but for the sake of principle, you should always be willing to stand. — The High Cost of Doing the Right Thing
The Lord Jesus spoke of the cost of discipleship. There would be persecution, he said, or what today people call pushback or blowback. Saints will suffer for proclaiming the truth. The minute they become silent about the gospel (not about politics), they fail to confess Christ, and the consequence is eternal. (See Mat 10.)
So the cost of the spiritual battle is high. But the price to be paid in eternity is unthinkable.
