Journal Entry #10 – An example of how things are different: efficiency is of no concern. I needed to buy some floor mats and safety equipment for the car. So, we went to the local automotive accessories retail store. Here is how the transaction transpired – a) salesman assists me in choosing from only two choices available, b) he takes the items, gives me a ticket, then carries them to a counter, c) I go to the cashier and pay for the items, she gives me another piece of paper, d) I present the paper at a different counter, then another person hands me my items. Considerably different than WalMart, to say the least.
