Deuteronomy 10

  1. As mentioned in the previous chapter, Moses recounts the rebellion of the Israelites and that the Lord was merciful to them (10:1-11). The remainder of the chapter is the Lord’s teaching and emphasis to the individual that one can know he is pleasing to God if one’s heart is spiritually circumcised (10:12-22).
  2. Application: To me, 10:12-13, is a great passage to demonstrate the Lord had no use, did not teach or even allow the theology of legalism. Neither did He promote the Old Testament Mosaic law as a law system in contrast to a grace system (New Testament) – in my view, it is just not there! Is there any part of these two verses that cannot properly apply to the New Testament?
