Deuteronomy 4

  1. Remember from where you came and how you arrived at this juncture in life. It was not you who provided for yourself, but the Lord provided for you. The message is simple, but imperative. Within this message is a warning and an outlook. The outlook is good if the Lord is heeded; if not, then the Lord will be against His children.
  2. Application: This morning I received a call from a brother who just lost his wife (7/5). My heart aches. I feel empty and unable to move. However, from this chapter I take encouragement. Verses 6-8, while applying to Israel, have a special word of comfort for all and to all that trust in Him who is beyond all of this life’s ailments.
