Understanding is not difficult. The doing is hard.

Walking in the WayUnderstanding God’s plan of salvation is not difficult. Following the Way, however, does present great challenges. The doing, not the knowing, is hard.

For when the follower of Christ puts his foot forward and takes his first step, Satan throws everything he has against him. The evil one brings to bear upon that single soul the fullness of his fury.

But a greater power than his works for the saint, the power of God’s Spirit. The hand of the Lord upholds the man of God so that he may continue to the end.

All the forces of heaven are at his disposal. The slightest breath of the Omnipotent One blows back the adversary.

So at the sight of the divine working in his people, “we rejoice in our tribulations” Rm 5.3.
