This chapter pertains to the actual making of the tabernacle. All the necessary curtains were made (36:8-19), and the skeletal frame of the tabernacle was made (36:20-38). The first 7 verses of the chapter tell us of the abundance of the freewill offerings given. It was coming in every morning, and it finally got to the point that they had more than enough (36:7). This goes to a point that we made Friday and the notion of legalism; it is possible that a legalistic person can be generous, but we read nothing of that here. In fact, when one thinks about a godly person giving to the Lord, it is the Lord who is able to make it plenty sufficient. Just as the Lord was pleased with the woman of two mites, He is pleased with the cheerful giver among us.
