From deadly pestilence

This is the third stanza, not often seen in hymnals, of the old hymn: “God of Our Fathers.”

From war’s alarms, from deadly pestilence,
be thy strong arm our ever sure defense;
thy true religion in our hearts increase;
thy bounteous goodness nourish us in peace.

Maybe now it will make a comeback?
