Genetically modified seed: sinful or acceptable? – JAM

The Anselm Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheldon, North Dakota, voted last November (2010) to leave the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Others have done the same, most leaving because of allowing clergy to be active homosexual; but this time the motive was unique. The members objected to the denomination’s resolution expressing concern over genetically modified seed. A lot of North Dakota farmers use the modified seed and do not believe it is any of the church’s business. I agree with them. With all of the sin and evil burgeoning about us, why make mountains out of molehills? In fact, I’m not sure it qualifies as a molehill. This is Just-A-Minute with Ed Boggess
