God’s Apricot Kernels

Greetings! Because of Randal’s invitation, I’m a new author for TFR. It’s an honor to be here, and I’d like to share my story with you.

How often have you read the following verse and wondered why in the world God felt it necessary to tell us these plants and fruits came from seeds? I just thought it was because we humans tend to not “get it.”

“Then God said, ‘I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food’” (Genesis 1:29).

I recently learned that perhaps God meant for the seeds to also be our “food.”

After a two-year battle with cancer (Non-Hodgkins T-cell Lymphoma), all the conventional treatments failed me. Even what was considered a “cure,” a stem-cell transplant (from an adult donor), failed (because they overdosed me on an immune suppressant drug, but that’s another story).

Despite aggressive treatments, I was told I had four new tumors (one in my ribcage and three in my lymph nodes), including one that was previously found in my pelvic bone (so, a total of five tumors). Naturally, the doctor wanted to do more chemo, following the radiation I’d already had on my pelvic bone. I was discouraged by what the doctor had to offer, so I chose not to follow any more conventional treatments. Because of that decision, my oncologist talked of the medications I might want to use to ease my last days.

However, I was still fighting, and I shared with my doctor that I was going to take a vitamin called B17 (a.k.a. Laetrile). This oncologist was the head of the cancer ward at the Colorado University Hospital and said he was familiar with B17, and he was willing to monitor me on this treatment plan I chose for myself.

It was my husband who discovered B17 for me. When the very first round of chemo was going into my veins (the nurses had to wear robes, gloves and masks because if one drop of the chemo landed on their skin, it could burn a hole right to their bone), he said between gritted teeth, “I know God has provided a natural remedy for this!” Well, he was right.

Nearly two years later and failure upon failure of the conventional treatments, I started listening to my husband. After eight weeks of taking 500 mg twice a day of the B17, the tumor in my pelvic bone was gone, the one in my ribcage was gone, and of the three in my lymph nodes: one was gone, the other almost completely gone, and the other had shrunk so significantly, the doctor wasn’t worried about it. When I averaged the time it took to wipe out all those tumors, I knew by ten weeks I was CANCER FREE! Several months later I had an X-ray done for another concern, and the scans were clean.

Vitamin B17 (Laetrile) is a concentrated form of apricot kernels, which leads me back to Genesis 1:29. I strongly believe God intends for us to eat His seeds! B17 is found in most fruit seeds. When you eat an apricot or a peach, break open the pit of those fruits and you will find a kernel inside. Those kernels taste very similarly to almonds. B17 is also found in the seeds of apples, blackberries, nectarines, cherries, in bitter almonds, and several other fruits and foods.

I’m sharing my story in the hopes that others will find healing from cancer and prevention through God’s natural resources.
