Each person probably has their own definition or standard for what a good day is. Some might think being able to watch football all day would be great. Some might think that spending the whole day with family would be the best day ever. There are as many different ways to have a good day as there are people.
No matter how you might define it, God has already told us what is involved with good days. If one will “love life, and see good days” then he must
“refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it” (1 Peter 3:10-11).
God says that having good days involves the way we speak and act. When we talk with others, let our words be loving, filled with truth and concern with the well being of others. Let our actions focus on what will be pleasing to others. Let us seek ways to make the lives of others better and put off those things that cause strife.
If we do those things God says that good days will come. If we become more like our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ (Matt. 10:25) our days will always be good no matter what goes on around us. Our days will be good because they will lead to eternity in heaven with God.
