I believe in prayer. I know it works. I remember praying for specific things throughout life and God answering my prayers.
It seems more people need prayer than ever. Many that I come in contact with will say to me before we part, “Remember me in prayer,” “Pray for me,” or the latest, “Pray for my daughter, that she’ll get that job, and pray for me. I’m always needing prayer. And remember to pray for my grandson; he needs prayers, too.” So many of these people I don’t know, but I will agree to remember them in prayer. At the same time I feel like I am drowning in prayer requests and can’t keep up!
How do you keep up with everybody that asks you to pray for them? Do you make a list and pull it out once a day and pray specifically for them? Do you just whisper a quick, “Lord, bless all those who have asked a special interest in our prayers,” or what do you do? I feel so guilty when I forget to pray for someone and then hear, “Thanks for your prayers. _________ is doing better.”
I’d be interested to hear your thoughts. Give me some feedback please.
