No matter how the plain the Bible is (Mark 13:32), there are some who still try to predict the day of Jesus’ return. If they would only treat the day like they do the way!
What do I mean by such? Well, have you ever heard anyone try to teach that Jesus is going to return in some way other than in the clouds? Probably not, right?
But why haven’t we heard such? Or at least I speak for my own ears when it comes to hearing about such a doctrine. Maybe it’s because, even to a false teacher, the people don’t seem gullible enough to fall for it. I suppose because the Bible is too plain on the matter:
“…“Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”” (Acts 1:11 NKJV)
Now is Acts 1:11 more plain when it comes to the way of Jesus’ return than Mark 13:32 is when it comes to the day of Jesus’ return? I think not! But unfortunately there are some in the religious world who think (as well as those who listen for some reason) their opinion is more accurate than God’s word on the matter.
It’s no secret that the Bible teaches Jesus is coming back. Nor is it a secret when it comes to how the Bible says Jesus will do so. But when it comes to the day of Jesus’ return – well, I guess there is no ‘but’ because the Lord has spoken on it as plainly as the other topics.
There would be a lot less confusion on the matter of Jesus’ return if people would only treat the day like the way.
“Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.” (Revelation 1:7 NKJV)
