A mother wrote Reader’s Digest that she asked her young son what was the highest he had ever counted. She was surprised when he quickly replied, “537.” She asked him, “Why did you stop there?” He said, “Church was over.” Many church services begin at 11:00 sharp and end at 12:00 dull. But it was never intended to be that way. The answer is not to jump the pews and roll in the aisles. This will soon become wearisome as well. The answer is to grasp the goodness of God, to explore the depths of the love of God and come to know the forgiveness of God. Only when we come to appreciate such things can we gather in excitement and a passion that never grows old. This is Just-A-Minute.
