I would try to help her see the larger picture of what God deals with. Grief wraps us in a cloak, so God is harder to see. We have to fight to keep Him in focus.
The Lord is always there and in charge. In order to remember this, we need to cling to Scripture and try to see things as God would see them. I recently wrote an article to help us understand this complex thought.
She needs to stay close and attuned to their spiritual family or Satan will isolate her and pull her back to the world (Ephesians 2:19; Galatians 6:2). Stay strong and never forget that in God there is no evil, whatsoever (1 John 1:5). He is consummate goodness and cares for her more than her mind can conceive.
