Learned behavior or inherited? – JAM

This is Just-A-Minute with Ed Boggess. Ron Hart is one of the regular features in our local Chronicle. Recently, he wrote, “I am fine with gay marriage and gay rights . . . I have long felt that gays are born that way.” I have been hearing this more and more, in spite of the fact that the mapping of the human genome found no evidence of any inherited gayness. I am convinced that gays and lesbians are not born that way. It is a learned behavior. If it was genetic and passed from parents to children, it would be a declining trait and eventually pass out of existence. Why? Because birth requires a man and a woman. The more homosexuality is practiced, the fewer there should be. But the opposite is the trend, thus proving it is a learned behavior, as well as an abomination.
