Long leave of absence from academia

And when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike down the army of the Philistines.” (1 Chronicles 14:15 ESV)

и когда услышишь шум как бы шагов на вершинах тутовых дерев, тогда вступи в битву, ибо вышел Бог пред тобою, чтобы поразить стан Филистимлян. (1-я Паралипоменон 14:15 Russian)

O LORD my God ~ thank you dear heavenly Father for the exhilarating light of your love that makes our uncertain steps much more steady. Open our eyes of spiritual understanding so that we are able to truly see in your word, and believe that your powerful angelic beings are able to use their strength in this earthly plane where we live. Awaken the dull hearts of some leaders in the Church to the power that you have at your disposal. Send reapers out into the harvest fields of this world where souls are dying in ignorance and sin. Cause some of the highly educated officials in Christian colleges, universities and preaching schools to take a long leave of absence from academia and enter the difficult but rewarding work of being on a mission to tell lost souls about salvation through faith in Christ as Lord. Protect those messengers who often go into the battle with their families. Reward them richly with your love, then welcome them home on that glorious Day. Revive our childlike faith that may have grown cold as we are surrounded by so many critical and cynical people in and out of the Church. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
