Mar. 8. Warnings Against Hypocrisy

Lk. 12:1-12

While Jesus was in the Pharisee’s house, a large crowd had gathered. As He spoke to His disciples before this crowd, He condemned the hypocrites. He compared hypocrisy with leaven, which used in very small quantities influences or affects the whole loaf of bread. Even hypocrisy can be hidden in the heart, but the results are loud and clear for everyone to know.

Jesus encouraged His disciples to remain faithful even in the face of severe persecution. He reassured them that the Holy Spirit would supply them with what to say when the need arose. The Holy Spirit guides us today through the writings handed down in the Bible.
