So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. (Hebrews 6:17-18 ESV)
O LORD God Most High and Mighty ~ dear Father, listen to the prayers of your children from around the world on this new day, as we seek to know more about your great and precious promises that are sealed by your own oath. Forgive me, Lord, for the times when it seemed in my limited mortal vision, that Christ’s promise of an eternal home for my soul was out of reach. Give us strong young married couples who are devoting their whole heart and soul to raising up faithful children in this world of skepticism. Slay the dragons that bring fear and doubt into the very elect. Help us, Lord Jesus. In your precious name, we pray, Amen.
