My most-used Bible version? The King James Version. I grew up when it and the ASV-1901 were practically the only two versions there were.
Didn’t have all of these fancy “modern” versions then. Still use the KJV in Bible class teaching, because that’s the version that most older members still use, but use the New King James version in referencing Scripture on my article blog. Mainly, because the flow of the language, makes it easier to read.
I tend to agree with Ron on the idea that one’s translation make a person more faithful to the Lord than another. Don’t believe that at all, however, I do stay away from paraphrased editions, such as The Reader’s Digest edition that came out years ago.
