At life’s end, the apostle Paul fully expects his eternal reward from Christ. He knows it is available to all, not only to a special class of people. He connects receiving it with Christ’s return, not with his impending death.
“Set their affection” is literally “love.” How do we show our love for Jesus’ appearing again?
