Numbers 2

  1. The Israelites had an army; when they rested they were to set their camp in a particular way. The Tabernacle was to be in the center of the camp, the Levites setting their camps around it. Around the Tabernacle and the Levites, the tribes would be properly placed. When they set out to march toward the land of promise, they were to march as they camped.
  2. Application: In this mass of humanity (just think about the size for a moment) the Lord organized them into a single unit. While each individual had his varied ideas, when it came to the Lord’s way, they were unified. Is there a lesson in this for us?
