Our emotions are mixed

Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:1-2 ESV)

O LORD God Almighty ~ hear the prayers of all people who love and obey your beloved Son as Lord and King. Our emotions are mixed as we consider all the news about people becoming sick and dying from this invisible yet deadly virus. We understand that nothing in all creation is hidden from your sight – including the smallest piece of matter, or the biggest lie emanating from demonic beings devoted to Satan. Thank you, dear Lord, for the blessed gospel that brings hope of eternal life to all who hear, believe and remain obedient to Christ. Lord, we strongly desire to be able to worship and work close together with other Christians who have the same faith. Lord Jesus, according to your mighty power and will for us, overthrow this coronavirus so that the Church for which Christ died may once again assemble and encourage one another to greater works for Christ than we ever dreamed possible. Forgive us for those days when we enjoyed the freedom to assemble and instead skipped church like naughty children. We fervently implore you in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
