Our focus should be on loving and serving God. Our aim should be that of going to heaven when we die.
Many are focused on material things. Even in religion the focus is on entertainment, show and fun; instead of on God the Bible, truth and service.
God is unimpressed with “the show of religion” which seems so important to man. God is impressed with simple, humble, love and obedience from the heart. He said, “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.” (John 15:14)
We should all study our Bible and do what it says. Tradition, elaborate services, complicated organizations and endless ritual consumes the religious thinking of many.
God warned, “Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts.” (Luke 20:46)
Many Scriptures are violated continually by man’s desire for show, ceremony and entertainment. Our focus should be on the simplicity of New Testament Christianity.
God loves you and I love you too.
