According to the Bureau of Standards in Washington, a dense fog covering seven city blocks to a depth of 100 feet is composed of less than one glass of water. That amount of water is divided into about 60 billion tiny droplets. Yet when those minute particles settle over a city or the countryside, they can almost blot out everything from your sight.
Many people today reside in a fog. They allow a cupful of troubles to cloud their vision and dampen their spirit. They allow the worries of the world to choke their spiritual lives (Lk. 8:14). When we have problems that are out of our league, instead of messing it up and making it worse, we need to trust in God for assistance. After all, Christians also reside in the Sonshine. This is the one relationship that empowers us to rise above our problems and remain devoted to the Lord. Have you signed your declaration of Dependence? If so, Jesus will bring you out of the fog.
Daniel 6:19-23 – Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt. Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
1 Corinthians 10:13 – No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
