People of great faith

Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! (Luke 12:27-28 ESV)

O LORD God of Hosts ~ we come before you on this new day with shouts of joyful thanksgiving for all that you have done and are going to do! Open the spiritual eyes of those people who are blinded by their pursuit of peace and happiness only in earthly wealth and fame. Give parents of Christians wisdom to pass along the faith to their children so that any future generations will also live by faith and not only by sight. Help all of us who follow Jesus as Lord to be people of great faith. Use us to encourage those whose faith has grown cold due to sorrows of this life. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
