Perfect game! – JAM

June 3rd (2010) Detroit Tigers pitcher, Armando Galarraga, pitched a perfect game against the Cleveland Indians. The only problem is he didn’t get credit for it. A perfect game is very rare in baseball, only 21 in major league history. The reason Galarraga won’t get credit for his achievement is a blown call by the umpire, Jim Joyce. With one out to go Jason Donald hit a ground ball and ran for first. He arrived just after the throw reached the first baseman’s mitt. Nevertheless, he was called safe. Instant replays proved to all that Joyce missed the call. Aren’t you glad that when the Judgment Day arrives, our Lord will be the Judge? We humans make mistakes, but when the Lord makes a call, it is always right! This is Just-A-Minute with Ed Boggess
