Persecuted by neighbors

They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore;the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Revelation 7:16-17 ESV)

O LORD my God, thank you for the extravagant gift of your beloved Son in whom we trust for joy now as we anticipate the ultimate reward of eternal life in your august presence. Bless your church Lord, with wisdom and courage to continue spreading the gospel of peace to people among all the nations. Comfort the saints now whose hearts may be in sorrow and concern for brothers and sisters who are being persecuted by their own neighbors. Revive the very real hopes of Christians who are doing our best to remain faithful to the Lamb – Christ, the dear shepherd of our souls. Forgive us for times when we failed to tell someone about our faith and hope but kept talking about nonsensical things like economics and world rulers who are under your control. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
