Anyone who claims to know something does not yet have the necessary knowledge, but anyone who loves God is known by him. (1 Corinthians 8:2-3 NRSV)
So aber jemand sich dünken läßt, er wisse etwas, der weiß noch nichts, wie er wissen soll. So aber jemand Gott liebt, der ist von ihm erkannt. (1 Korinther 8:2-3 German Luther 1545)
O LORD my God, your majestic splendor is unlike anything mortals can ever come close to comprehending while in these earthbound bodies. We enthusiastically praise your profound wisdom that we are eager to possess, according to your will for our lives. More than anything dear Lord – help us to grow in proactive love for you and the guiding light of the Spirit-inspired Scriptures. Pure love – your most admirable quality, sometimes seems out of reach because of the many base human desires and ambitions that pull us down and often conflict with your perfect plan for each person. Protect us from the antagonistic schemes of Satan so that we may live in loving harmony with one another. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
