Just this afternoon a member of the church who teaches our teenage girl’s class told of having a new girl in Bible class. She said the girl did everything she could to cause trouble, and disturbance, in class. She was a new rider on our church van.
My friend said she did everything she could to get the girl to stop so she could teach. She thought about quoting scriptures. She said she quoted every scripture she could think of about hell. When she finally got to Sodom and Gomorrah and how God destroyed them because the people were so wicked, the girl stopped and caused no other problems throughout the class.
My friend’s husband, who is a teacher in our local school, told his wife she should have taken the girl home. He said she is a trouble maker and always in trouble about something at school. My friend said, “I didn’t have to take her home. I quoted scriptures and she straightened up.”
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11).
