    2-20-2017 The Woe Of “Roe” 

    69-year-old Norma McCorvey died of heart failure at an assisted living center in Katy, Texas on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017. She was the “Jane Roe” of the “Roe v. Wade” case in which the United States Supreme Court, on January 22, 1973, ruled in Section IX B, “We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins. When those trained in the respective disciplines of medicine, philosophy, and theology are unable to arrive at any consensus, the judiciary, at this point in the development of man’s knowledge, is not in a position to speculate as to the answer.”  The entire ruling depended upon the Judges’ confusion over, and ignorance of, when, exactly, life begins in pregnancy! Jesus noted that a birth mother forgets birth pains, “for joy that a human being has been born into the world” (John 16:21 NKJV). McCorvey died an anti-abortionist!

    10-25-2016 Supporting Abortion 

    An unborn, or newly-born, baby defines “innocence,” for they have not “done any good or evil” (Romans 9:11 NKJV).  “The king of Egypt” issued an “executive order” to Israelite midwives that: “if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live.’ But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive” (Exodus 1:16-17 NKJV).  “Moreover Manasseh shed very much innocent blood, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another, besides his sin by which he made Judah sin, in doing evil in the sight of the LORD” (2 Kings 21:16 NKJV).  God condemned Egypt and Judah, because He hates “Hands that shed innocent blood” (Proverbs 6:17 NKJV).  God-fearing people will not vote for a leader determined to kill babies!

    A sad situation that reveals an even sadder mindset 

    I don’t know if you’ve heard the news (as of right now, the video on YouTube already has over 5 1/2 million views), but a very sad, bad and unfortunate situation played out over the weekend when a very young child fell into a lowland gorilla exhibit at a Cincinnati zoo. The boy’s encounter with the gorilla ultimately resulted in the gorilla being shot and killed, and the boy having to go to the hospital for, what some media outlets were calling, “non-life-threatening” injuries. And as of this morning, according to the stories of outrage now being directed toward the zoo and the parents, it seems as if another result of the situation will be that the family of this young child will have to go into protective custody!

    The following are “some” of the “profanity-free” comments that can be read on YouTube. Now I want to say that I have no doubt that some of these “comments” are only being made because of the brashness, “boldness”, “bravery” and desire for attention that oft describes many comments made on websites. But that fact withstanding, I believe that some of the comments come from their maker’s heart and that they reflect a growing warped mindset concerning the western culture’s view of human life versus animal life. Look at what I mean:

    • The employee who killed the gorilla should be fired and sent to prison.
    • They should have let the gorilla kill the kid. There are around 200 left of them on the entire planet and nearly 7 billion people. We’re a disgusting species that ruined our natural ecosystem. Now we keep animals in cages for our entertainment. Shame on all of us.
    • They should’ve shot the child instead of the gorilla
    • Hmm there’s only a handful of gorillas in the world left. There’s millions of little boys, this should speak for itself.
    • Gorillas are endangered kids are not I think we know who should’ve been shot.
    • I still can’t believe the gorilla had to die over protection of a 3yr old
    • They shot an innocent, beautiful Silverback because of a BAD mother, how disgusting
    • If someone forced me out of my natural habitat to entertain people and these entertained people managed to fall… i would have done worse than this gorilla.

    On and on the comments go. Now we see the mindset that leads to millions of government tax dollars going to child-aborting-production-line companies such as “Planned Parenthood” while “adults” elsewhere chain themselves to trees and freely give millions of dollars to companies that fight for animal lives. Now we see the mindset that leads to more tears being shed over the thought of an animal losing its life than the rivers of human blood that flows down America’s sewers because of “liberty”. Now we see the mindset that leads to legal action being taken against people who reveal the flippant attitude that Murder Inc. bosses have toward the dead body of a human fetus while the people who release footage of animals being killed on food-farms are lauded as heroes. Now we see the mindset that causes a sad situation to become something that reveals an even sadder mindset.

    Is there room for discussion about vigilant parenting when it comes to this situation? No doubt. But I believe that there is now more room for discussion about the mindset that calls for “vigilante” justice because the life of a child was protected by taking the life of an animal.

    Look at the birds in the sky: They do not sow, or reap, or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you more valuable than they are?” (Matthew 6:26 – NET)

      If one is thoroughly pragmatic, then the child should have been shot. If one is a naturalist, then the zoo employee should be fired and prosecuted. Values in this world have been turned topsy turvy because of these and other philosophies.

    12-9-2015 Baby Jesus #1 

    This time of year, many celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, but do not seem to understand some things. For instance, God’s Son was born to a woman who did not believe in abortion. Though not the “mother of God,” Mary was chosen to bring forth the body for God’s Son. “The angel Gabriel” said to her: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God” (Luke 1:35 NKJV). Had she feared for her own life, reputation, or future at work, she could have been scared into an abortion, but instead, she feared God. No righteous person can consistently accept the birth of the precious Jesus and believe that abortion is alright.

    3-26-2015 “Reasons” For Abortion 

    A pro-abortion advocate, gave as reasons to continue the practice that: the mother might have many trips to a Doctor, transportation costs, and extra child-care expenses, all of which are but inconveniences. In her mind, this justified slaughtering innocent babies, each of which would have been a further “inconvenience!” Sadly, many mothers have been robbed of their tenderest moments, for David said, “Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, Like a weaned child with his mother; Like a weaned child is my soul within me” (Psalm 131:2 NKJV). At conception, (1) a chemical change on the surface of the egg takes place to prevent another sperm’s penetration; (2) the baby’s genetic makeup is entirely complete; making a totally different individual developing. At this point the baby is a foreign body within the mother, who has no more moral decision to make!

    Last year MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry on her July 21st show insisted that a baby’s life only begins when the parents say it begins. Quote: “When does life begin? I submit the answer depends an awful lot on the feeling of the parents. A powerful feeling, but not science.” Unquote. What is this all about? For years we have fought abortion, the taking of an infant’s life before it is born. However now there is a rising cry for what is called “after-birth abortion”. It is claimed that parents should have the right to kill a new-born baby for whatever reason they choose. How can anyone argue such? It is simply the extended logic of a generation that has been raised to believe man is nothing more than evolving matter. This is Just-A-Minute.

    Tennessee residents and “Yes on 1” 

    This is quite a ways out (although we’re talking months and not years) but I wanted to mention something for any of our Tennessee based readers in case you’re not familiar with the upcoming November 4th, 2014, election that will include an amendment identified at the top of the list with the number 1. Hence, there is an effort being made on behalf of this amendment to get people to “Vote YES on 1” due to the lack of awareness about it.

    The short of the long is that the amendment will further strengthen the law against “optional” abortions highlighted by some stats such as, “Nearly 25% of abortions in Tennessee are sought by out-of-state women and girls.”

    Apparently the state of Tennessee has fewer restrictions than our eight surrounding neighbor states and “YES on 1” is seeking to help close the convenient loop-holes through amendment #1 and end the practice of Tennessee being a “destination state” for those seeking an abortion with fewer guidelines.

    (#167) The Proverbs of Solomon 24:11-12-What Baby’s Blood Is On Your Hands? 

    Since God Created humans, only God can provide specific understanding of human behavior. God gave Solomon Divine Wisdom (1 Kings Chapters 3 and 10) to explain what and why behavior is as it is, and Proverbs 10:1-24:34 are randomly written, as if they were Solomon’s judgments about individual cases brought to him, or simply God-given explanations about life. New Testament passages may help see the continuation of Wisdom offered through Jesus Christ.

    Proverbs 24:11-12: “Deliver those who are drawn toward death, And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, ‘Surely we did not know this,’ Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?”

    This proverb does not contradict “capital punishment,” for God has decreed to all mankind that murderers should die: “Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man” (Genesis 9:6). Those who bear false witness in a court of law, once discovered, should receive the penalty they thought would go to the one they witnessed against (Deuteronomy 19:16-20), that “those who remain shall hear and fear, and hereafter they shall not again commit such evil among you.” Today, since “the authorities that exist are appointed by God,” then they “should not bear the sword in vain,” rather “he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil” (Romans 13:1-4).

    When this “sword” is used against those who are doing “good,” the rest of us must “deliver” them! When government justifies the slaughter of innocent babies with “abortion,” it is against God! Thus, when someone is unjustly accused and condemned to death, our spirits should be stirred and actions aroused to “deliver” them from the hands of those who are about to kill the innocent. We cannot justify ourselves by saying “Surely, we did not know this,” for God knows whether or not we knew, and He will hold everyone accountable for what they knew but did not do. We cannot pull the blanket of “ignorance” over our heart and hide from God, for “I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings” (Jeremiah 17:10; Revelation 2:23).

    No one knows about tomorrow, but God, so we must act today. “Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit;’ whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.’ But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin” (James 4:13-17).

    God will hold accountable every Supreme Court Justice, President, Congressman/woman, and citizen who has mandated, supported, encouraged, advised, and consented to this slaughter of innocents. They, like King Herod (Matthew 2:16-21), will face their Maker with babies’ blood on their souls, unless they turn to the blood of the baby of Bethlehem whom God spared (Acts 2:38)! Christians cannot let those who govern think “they did not know this,” but by teaching, voting, discussing, and praying, try to bring moral sense back into their decision(s).

    Proverbs 14:28: “In a multitude of people is a king’s honor, But in the lack of people is the downfall of a prince.”

    While the Israelites were united under Solomon’s God-blessed rule in their Promised Land, the queen of Sheba said: “Blessed be the LORD your God, who delighted in you, setting you on His throne to be king for the LORD your God! Because your God has loved Israel, to establish them forever, therefore He made you king over them, to do justice and righteousness” (2 Chronicles 9:8). After Solomon died, their kingdom divided when Rehoboam “did not listen to the people” (1 Kings 12:15), then “all Israel saw that the king did not listen to them” (1 Kings 12:16), and they killed his tax collector (1 Kings 12:17-18). When people see their leaders do not listen to them, they try a different government leader, as Israel did with Jeroboam (1 Kings 12:25-33), often with worse consequences! Government leaders should follow the Word of God (Deuteronomy 17:18-20), because “If a ruler pays attention to lies, All his servants become wicked” (Proverbs 29:12). All rulers who believe in their own sovereignty and power have succumbed to their self-deceit, because, as Paul said, “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God” (Romans 13:1). Without acknowledging God’s authority the government is corrupt. “Like a roaring lion and a charging bear Is a wicked ruler over poor people. A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor, But he who hates covetousness will prolong his days” (Proverbs 28:15-16). Certainly, one should not accept nor be taken in by the rich delicacies offered by the king (Proverbs 23:1-3).

    A few ways leaders keep their people in line include: (1) murdering their opponents, (2) constant propaganda of lies, (3) forced labor or (4) limiting the population. Examples of each include: (1) Tyrannies and dictatorships always fear the masses, and often seek to annihilate their opposition within their own land: Egyptian Pharaoh and Israelites (Exodus 1:7-12); Mohammedans/Moslems against Jews, Catholics, and Bible-believers; Roman Catholic Inquisition for hundreds of years; Joseph Stalin in Russia; Benito Mussolini in Italy; Adolph Hitler in Europe; Mao Tse-tung in China; Khmer Rouge in Cambodia; their names are legion, and their victims number in the hundreds of millions. (2) This was done by (1); and today includes the constant mantras of “Global Warming,”  “Evolution,” “World Economy,” “Carbon Footprints,” “Bigger Government Necessity,” “Broken Medical System,” “Radical Right-wingers,” “Crazy Bible-believers,” ad nauseum. (3) Egyptian Pharaoh (Exodus 1:13-15); those mentioned in (1); economic slaves (Proverbs 22:7). (4) Egyptian Pharaoh (Exodus 1:16-22-the God-fearing midwives refused to murder innocent born babies!); the genocide of abortion (including partial abortion); government-backed “euthanasia;” government-controlled medical care; et al.

    Countries ruled by a minority, who do not listen to their majority population, will suffer “downfall.”

    Psalm 139 Father Knows Us Best 

    This Psalm of David gives a picture of how thoroughly God knows us. We should seek to know Him as completely as we can, for “when you did not know God, you served those which by nature are not gods” (Galatians 4:8); “the world through wisdom did not know God” (1 Corinthians 1:21); “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love” (1 John 4:8); Jesus Christ will be “taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Thessalonians 1:8).

    Verses 1-6 show how completely God knows about our individual lives;

    Verses 7-12 show how useless it is for anyone to try to flee from God;

    Verses 13-16 show when God begins to know us;

    Verses 17-18 show how completely we should know God;

    Verses 19-22 show how completely we should side with God;

    Verses 23-24 show how completely open we should be with ourselves and God.

    Verses 1-6: There is no one who knows and understands us like God does: not Mother, Father, Children, Husband or Wife, close friend. God interacts with individual lives by examination, constant monitoring, complete understanding of our thinking, hearing all our words, protecting and guiding at times, all exceeding our own understanding of ourselves!

    Verses 7-12: As Adam and Eve discovered in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:6-8), there is nowhere God cannot find us: Heaven (as if we could!)? He is there; “Hell” (Sheol, the place beyond the body’s grave, where departed spirits dwell)? He is there; fly as fast as the light of a new day (as if we could!)? dive as deep as the sea goes? He still could guide and hold us; be surrounded by total darkness? God sees as if it was still light. God is everywhere, but He is NOT everything! God is Creator NOT the Creation! Pantheism is totally wrong in this concept.

    Verses 13-16: God designs, develops, and delivers each and every human baby ever born! For each and every human baby, while in the womb, God “covered” (intricately weaves together) our organs; “fearfully and wonderfully” develops the baby; makes the skeleton support structure; begins His work on “unformed” “substance” (Hebrew term for embryo), prepared the baby to live “the days fashioned for me” (plans for the baby to live its life on earth). Abortion is the destroying of the work of God, and wise Solomon said: “I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, And nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him” (Ecclesiastes 3:14). Abortion is taking from the work of God!

    Verses 17-18: There is much more about God than we can grasp, but we should learn all we can while we can. The Word of God is the gradual unfolding of the revelation of God.

    Verses 19-22: Instead of demanding God to “side” with us, we should get on God’s “side.” There should be no evil work a Christian would practice, plan, or proceed to do: terrorism, abortion, self-centeredness, drunkenness/drug abuse, divisiveness, fornication/adultery, lust, or anything else contrary to “sound doctrine.” Whatever God condemns, Christians should condemn. Whatever God hates, Christians should hate. Whoever is an enemy of God, should be an enemy to a Christian. No Christian should compromise this commitment to God for any  political platform, union slogan, or gang fidelity!

    Verses 23-24: An open heart asks for God to check it out, and is willing for Him to “lead me in the way everlasting.” Why wait? God provides for Christians to “examine themselves” (2 Corinthians 13:5). “For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world” (1 Corinthians 11:31-32).

    Psalm 127 Living in a Safe House 

    There is uncertainty regarding the author, time, or circumstances of these Psalms, but it is apparent Psalms 120-134 work together, and are called the “Songs of Degrees,” and sometimes “Songs of Ascension.” This one is attributed to Solomon.

    Verses 1-2 describe a Safe House is the Lord’s House;

    Verses 3-5 describe a family in a Safe House.

    Verses 1-2: (Verse 1) Since this is credited to Solomon who had built God’s House (the Temple in Jerusalem, 1 Kings 5:1-5), this naturally fits. Moses’ “house” was the family of Israelites under Moses’ Law: “And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward, but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end” (Hebrews 3:5-6). Today the “household of God” (1 Timothy 3:15) is the church of Christ, thus the application would be that it is useless to establish any other church, or claim to be a part of the church of Christ, unless one goes all the way by obeying all of what God demands (Acts 2:36-47). Jesus said: “Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men'” (Matthew 15:7-9). Since the “home” must be established upon the heterosexual love relationship in a marriage (Genesis 2:18-24; Matthew 19:4-6), then all attempts to build a family (house) based upon homosexuality, bisexuality, transsexuality is “in vain.” The same applies to Solomon’s Jerusalem (2 Samuel 5:7-9), and every other city that has no foundation of faith in God! There is no purpose in building a house without God, and the sleepless watchman of a city is useless “unless the LORD guards the city.” There is no security in a church, home, or city, without God’s blessing. (Verse 2) It is “vain” (useless) to get up for work early, sit up late, suffering for food, when God is blessing. Diligence is good, as Solomon said: “He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich” (Proverbs 10:4).    Solomon also said: “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it” (Proverbs 10:22). Jesus, the wisest Man of all, said: “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it” (Proverbs 10:22).

    Verses 3-5: (Verse 3) There is no greater tribute to the blessing of a child than these verses. First, children are a “heritage” (inheritance) from God. There is no godly way to decide to have an abortion. The miniscule percentage of women whose lives would be in jeopardy should they birth the baby inside them in no way justifies the bloodthirsty, murderous, savage, brutal, sacrificing of human lives called “abortion.” (Verse 4) Second, children of our youthful years become a parent’s strength to endure, like arrows arming a warrior. Parents are people God is preparing to “take on” the struggle of life. (Verse 5) Third, the man should be “happy” because of his responsibility of fatherhood.  His children, unashamed by his duties common to man have his guidance that helps them to be able to take leadership in civic matters, as well. Good parenting affects the future, also.

    Thought:  Males who won’t commit to the responsibility of producing a child with their own marriage spouse, should never be given the opportunity by any female. Females who encourage or accept males as sires and not permanently married mates, are reducing child-bearing to an animal level. Having children without marriage is ugly, degrading, deceptive, and destructive, and should never be judged lightly.

    The Hypocrisy of Our Legal System and Abortion 

    There is a local story here in Tennessee that has been playing out for quite some time now. It involves a mother a woman who kept her pregnancy with twins a secret only to have the situation become very public after she suffocated each of them the moment they were born.

    There has been plenty of head scratching/heart breaking moments that has followed since the details have come out in the trial. But to me, one of the most shocking things is the hypocritical nature of legal system concerning the thing…the crime that this woman has committed. She virtually did nothing any different from what already happens every day in our country with the support of our legal system! She performed a late-term, at-home abortion! She now faces multiple charges, including first degree murder, and rightly so, but how is it that multiple thousands of people can make the same decision but there are no legal consequences at all because they allow a “medical professional” to commit to the murder???

    A few things that this case has shown once again are that a pregnant woman carries life within her womb and that abortion is sad and it is murder.

    Hypocrisy on Stage 

    Let me say ahead of time that my comments here (along with their inserted comments) reflect the hypocritical use of religion by liberal (I don’t approve of conservatives doing it either in case you’re wondering) elected leaders in the American government much more than it reflects my stance on the issue at hand.

    Diane Feinstein (Senator of California) had a press conference today (1/24/2013) concerning her proposal to introduce legislation to ban “assault” weapons. That seems like typical duck-tape politics to me, but the LOL (and that’s the first time I believe I’ve ever used that) moment came when remarks were made by a guest introduced by the senator before the proposal got underway.

    The guest was “the Very Reverend Gary Hall” (forget reverend, could someone tell me how a man can be biblically called very reverend??? I wonder if that makes the regular reverend people feel a little smaller???) who represents the National Cathedral (not a church that belongs to God, but a bastion of moral and religious relativism) in D.C.. I’d like to say a thing or two about Gary’s comments and the prayer that followed.

    Gary said,

    As people of faith we have the moral obligation to stand with and for the victims of gun violence and to work to end it.

    Statements like this make me wonder in a way that causes exasperation. No amoral law can solve a moral issue!!! It is already illegal to murder someone is it not? Regardless of the weapon being used, murder is a moral issue that this government is approaching in an amoral way. People need to be taught about the spiritual consequences violating God’s law along side the consequences of violating the law of the land.

    Gary also said,

    We’ve tolerated school shootings and mall shootings and theatre shootings and sniper shootings and workplace shootings and temple and church shootings and urban neighborhood shootings for far too long, enough is enough…I don’t want to take away someone’s hunting rifle, but I can no longer justify a society that allows people other than military and police to own weapons like these, or that permits the sell of high-capacity magazines….

    If the issue is about the taking/protection of innocent life, then why aren’t all innocent lives given the same intolerant attention and care by Mrs. Feinstein? If life is sacred (and it is) then who sanctified it? How can you look for moral support for an issue like “gun-control” while ignoring real moral obligations to protect innocent lives who live within the womb of their mother? I’ll tell you how…you find someone dressed up in a hypocrite’s costume with a collar and you let them give a speech. Are the 50+ million innocent lives (approximately 3,700+ per day) that have been violently ended not enough? How can one not justify a society that “fails” to restrict the ownership of amoral objects like guns in the way a particular person wants (gun ownership is restricted to law-abiding people mind you) while finding the ability to justify a society that rips apart children piece by piece, or flushes them down the toilet!? Yes, enough is enough, and the pro-abortion senator who called the press conference should be told such.

    Gary then prayed,

    Oh God, you made human beings in your image, and you’ve given us hearts with which to feel the pain of others and minds to create solutions for human suffering…we ask all this in God’s holy name….

    Where did the separation of church and state go today? A prayer to God (which I am in support of) sounds like religion to me…maybe it’s because he represents a “cathedral” instead of the church? I don’t know (or do I?). How is that prayers at graduations violate the “separation” rule but this didn’t? How is that prayers around the flagpole violate the “separation” rule but this didn’t? How? Seems to me that the “state” only approves of the “church” when the “church” approves of the “state’s” position. Be a contrarian (you could be called much worse) with that and you might be accused of being a “constitution thumper” (oh wait, that whole “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights…” is that little Declaration thing isn’t it?). What solutions are being offered anyways? Are people going to be taught to value life because we’re made in the image of our Creator??? Ah, that would violate that whole “separate” thing wouldn’t it? I guess they’re going to have to convince people who don’t mind violating the law by murdering others that it will be really bad if they do so with weapons deemed unacceptable.

    There was much hypocrisy shown on that stage today. It was a show about a political stance, not a stance on a moral issue – murder is already wrong and illegal…unless it’s the murder of victims who cannot speak! Religion for hire is not a religion that brings one higher. Religion for hire reveals a religion desperate to stay in the lamelight. Dress it up in whatever way you want, hypocrisy only washes the outside of the cup while ignoring the nastiness on the inside.

    And by the way, Gary, whose name was that prayer asked in again? We have to be careful with that one, don’t we?

    May the longsuffering and patience of the Almighty God continue to be with our nation as it has been with us (1 Timothy 2:1-6).
