NBC author tells funny joke about the president elect

Believe it or not, this post isn’t political!

I recently read a funny joke, written by an author for NBC, about president elect, Joe Biden.

While discussing Biden’s position concerning abortion, the author said, “Biden is a devout Roman Catholic….

A setup and a punchline in six words takes some talent.

I told you this post wasn’t political … it’s about morality.

Creating a potential life

Number 601 • January 5, 2021

I have heard and am sometimes asked to answer the argument of “pro-choice” people that pregnancy in a female is simply “the presence of a potential life” and, since it is only potential it is not wrong to remove it. Reference to what is in the womb as an it, a non-specific nebulous unidentifiable thing and not as a living being, a human person, is significant and perhaps necessary for the narrative of the pro-abortionist. If it is only a mass of tissue then removing it is no different than removing any other unwanted matter – no more important or consequential than clipping your toe nails or hair, removing a wart or a bad tooth, but probably more complicated since it is deeply umbilically rooted in the body. But referring to the unborn as a potential life is an oxymoron, a rhetorical ploy, a way to dehumanize it and deflect attention from the rights it would have if recognized as a developing organism, as an unborn human child. Two’s company, three’s a crowd

In a nationally televised debate last night, two US Senate candidates (immensely powerful people in the US government) for the state of Georgia addressed the topic of abortion. In regards to his position, the Baptist preacher in the debate said the following:

The question is: whose decision is it? And I happen to think that a patient’s room is too small a place for a woman, her doctor, and the U.S. Government. I think that’s too many people in the room,” (“Reverend” Raphael Warnock)

Amazing! Pro-choice due to the lack of square footage in the room? I wonder if this preacher believes there’s enough space for God to fit in the patient’s room? Or would three still be a crowd?

That’s what happens when you confuse morality with politics.

Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,” even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you.” (Psalm 139:7-12 ESV)

12-5-2017          Baby Jesus

This time of year, many celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, but do not seem to understand some things.  For instance, God’s Son was born to a woman who did not believe in abortion.  Though not the “mother of God,” Mary was chosen to bring forth the body for God’s Son.  “The angel Gabriel” said to her: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God” (Luke 1:35 NKJV).  Had she feared for her own life, reputation, or future at work, she could have been scared into an abortion, but instead, she feared God.  No righteous person can consistently accept the birth of the precious Jesus and believe that abortion is alright.

What some people consider help

There is no doubting hurricane Harvey’s devastation.

Hundreds of thousands of people have been directly affected. Infrastructure has been rendered useless. Houses turned into pits of mold and piled-up garbage. Education and jobs put on hold.

People need help! But what some people consider help serves as a prime example of a deeply seeded sign of depravity in our culture.

Help, by its very nature, is an action meant to create improvement! When one understands the nature of help, then one can understand how pro-abortionists view children – an inconvenient and optional choice that creates an undue, unwarranted and unwanted burden that is better-off put to death … a point of view that is far from understanding the responsibility attached to having sex and the value of the life it helps to create.

When someone offers “help” the question must be asked, “What are they trying to help me accomplish?” Because all help doesn’t improve our situation in life.

Now in the time of his distress King Ahaz became increasingly unfaithful to the Lord. This is that King Ahaz. For he sacrificed to the gods of Damascus which had defeated him, saying, “Because the gods of the kings of Syria help them, I will sacrifice to them that they may help me.” But they were the ruin of him and of all Israel.” (2 Chronicles 28:22-23 NKJV)

Democrats have a plan to win elections in 2018

This post isn’t as political as the title may suggest. This post is actually about morality.

“But your title uses the words ‘Democrats’ and ‘elections’, so how could that not be political?”, some may ask.

Good question. It’s because of what the “Democratic election” plan revolves around – funding pro-life candidates. And boy has it stirred up a hornet’s nest for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

The committee, out of its own mouth, wants to fund pro-life candidates (who go against the Democrat National Party Platform) not because they believe it’s the right thing to do morally, but because it’s the right thing to do politically!

If you think abortion is a political topic then you’ve stopped thinking. Go watch a video that shows the horror of a partial-birth-abortion. Think about the mental struggles many women live with after making the decision to abort the life of their child. Think about the illicit behavior that is encouraged across all demographics solely due to the mantra, “It’s our choice.” It’s pitiful.

Try to salve your conscience by playing with words all you want. The topic of abortion has never been, and never will be, about politics regardless of any political-party’s attempt to do so. The topic of abortion is a moral issue.

Perhaps the Democratic Party should stop thinking less about 2018 elections and more about eternity by viewing people as souls instead of animals. But that would be too moral, wouldn’t it?

2-20-2017 The Woe Of “Roe”

69-year-old Norma McCorvey died of heart failure at an assisted living center in Katy, Texas on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017. She was the “Jane Roe” of the “Roe v. Wade” case in which the United States Supreme Court, on January 22, 1973, ruled in Section IX B, “We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins. When those trained in the respective disciplines of medicine, philosophy, and theology are unable to arrive at any consensus, the judiciary, at this point in the development of man’s knowledge, is not in a position to speculate as to the answer.”  The entire ruling depended upon the Judges’ confusion over, and ignorance of, when, exactly, life begins in pregnancy! Jesus noted that a birth mother forgets birth pains, “for joy that a human being has been born into the world” (John 16:21 NKJV). McCorvey died an anti-abortionist!

10-25-2016 Supporting Abortion

An unborn, or newly-born, baby defines “innocence,” for they have not “done any good or evil” (Romans 9:11 NKJV).  “The king of Egypt” issued an “executive order” to Israelite midwives that: “if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live.’ But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive” (Exodus 1:16-17 NKJV).  “Moreover Manasseh shed very much innocent blood, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another, besides his sin by which he made Judah sin, in doing evil in the sight of the LORD” (2 Kings 21:16 NKJV).  God condemned Egypt and Judah, because He hates “Hands that shed innocent blood” (Proverbs 6:17 NKJV).  God-fearing people will not vote for a leader determined to kill babies!

A sad situation that reveals an even sadder mindset

I don’t know if you’ve heard the news (as of right now, the video on YouTube already has over 5 1/2 million views), but a very sad, bad and unfortunate situation played out over the weekend when a very young child fell into a lowland gorilla exhibit at a Cincinnati zoo. The boy’s encounter with the gorilla ultimately resulted in the gorilla being shot and killed, and the boy having to go to the hospital for, what some media outlets were calling, “non-life-threatening” injuries. And as of this morning, according to the stories of outrage now being directed toward the zoo and the parents, it seems as if another result of the situation will be that the family of this young child will have to go into protective custody!

The following are “some” of the “profanity-free” comments that can be read on YouTube. Now I want to say that I have no doubt that some of these “comments” are only being made because of the brashness, “boldness”, “bravery” and desire for attention that oft describes many comments made on websites. But that fact withstanding, I believe that some of the comments come from their maker’s heart and that they reflect a growing warped mindset concerning the western culture’s view of human life versus animal life. Look at what I mean:

  • The employee who killed the gorilla should be fired and sent to prison.
  • They should have let the gorilla kill the kid. There are around 200 left of them on the entire planet and nearly 7 billion people. We’re a disgusting species that ruined our natural ecosystem. Now we keep animals in cages for our entertainment. Shame on all of us.
  • They should’ve shot the child instead of the gorilla
  • Hmm there’s only a handful of gorillas in the world left. There’s millions of little boys, this should speak for itself.
  • Gorillas are endangered kids are not I think we know who should’ve been shot.
  • I still can’t believe the gorilla had to die over protection of a 3yr old
  • They shot an innocent, beautiful Silverback because of a BAD mother, how disgusting
  • If someone forced me out of my natural habitat to entertain people and these entertained people managed to fall… i would have done worse than this gorilla.

On and on the comments go. Now we see the mindset that leads to millions of government tax dollars going to child-aborting-production-line companies such as “Planned Parenthood” while “adults” elsewhere chain themselves to trees and freely give millions of dollars to companies that fight for animal lives. Now we see the mindset that leads to more tears being shed over the thought of an animal losing its life than the rivers of human blood that flows down America’s sewers because of “liberty”. Now we see the mindset that leads to legal action being taken against people who reveal the flippant attitude that Murder Inc. bosses have toward the dead body of a human fetus while the people who release footage of animals being killed on food-farms are lauded as heroes. Now we see the mindset that causes a sad situation to become something that reveals an even sadder mindset.

Is there room for discussion about vigilant parenting when it comes to this situation? No doubt. But I believe that there is now more room for discussion about the mindset that calls for “vigilante” justice because the life of a child was protected by taking the life of an animal.

Look at the birds in the sky: They do not sow, or reap, or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you more valuable than they are?” (Matthew 6:26 – NET)

3-26-2015 “Reasons” For Abortion

A pro-abortion advocate, gave as reasons to continue the practice that: the mother might have many trips to a Doctor, transportation costs, and extra child-care expenses, all of which are but inconveniences. In her mind, this justified slaughtering innocent babies, each of which would have been a further “inconvenience!” Sadly, many mothers have been robbed of their tenderest moments, for David said, “Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, Like a weaned child with his mother; Like a weaned child is my soul within me” (Psalm 131:2 NKJV). At conception, (1) a chemical change on the surface of the egg takes place to prevent another sperm’s penetration; (2) the baby’s genetic makeup is entirely complete; making a totally different individual developing. At this point the baby is a foreign body within the mother, who has no more moral decision to make!

Last year MSNBC host Melissa Harris Perry on…

Last year MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry on her July 21st show insisted that a baby’s life only begins when the parents say it begins. Quote: “When does life begin? I submit the answer depends an awful lot on the feeling of the parents. A powerful feeling, but not science.” Unquote. What is this all about? For years we have fought abortion, the taking of an infant’s life before it is born. However now there is a rising cry for what is called “after-birth abortion”. It is claimed that parents should have the right to kill a new-born baby for whatever reason they choose. How can anyone argue such? It is simply the extended logic of a generation that has been raised to believe man is nothing more than evolving matter. This is Just-A-Minute.

Tennessee residents and “Yes on 1”

This is quite a ways out (although we’re talking months and not years) but I wanted to mention something for any of our Tennessee based readers in case you’re not familiar with the upcoming November 4th, 2014, election that will include an amendment identified at the top of the list with the number 1. Hence, there is an effort being made on behalf of this amendment to get people to “Vote YES on 1” due to the lack of awareness about it.

The short of the long is that the amendment will further strengthen the law against “optional” abortions highlighted by some stats such as, “Nearly 25% of abortions in Tennessee are sought by out-of-state women and girls.”

Apparently the state of Tennessee has fewer restrictions than our eight surrounding neighbor states and “YES on 1” is seeking to help close the convenient loop-holes through amendment #1 and end the practice of Tennessee being a “destination state” for those seeking an abortion with fewer guidelines.

If you would like to read for yourself a little more about the amendment’s goal along with an example of how the “ballot language” will read you can visit www.voteYEStn.org.

(#167) The Proverbs of Solomon 24:11-12-What Baby’s Blood Is On Your Hands?

Since God Created humans, only God can provide specific understanding of human behavior. God gave Solomon Divine Wisdom (1 Kings Chapters 3 and 10) to explain what and why behavior is as it is, and Proverbs 10:1-24:34 are randomly written, as if they were Solomon’s judgments about individual cases brought to him, or simply God-given explanations about life. New Testament passages may help see the continuation of Wisdom offered through Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 24:11-12: “Deliver those who are drawn toward death, And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, ‘Surely we did not know this,’ Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?”

This proverb does not contradict “capital punishment,” for God has decreed to all mankind that murderers should die: “Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man” (Genesis 9:6). Those who bear false witness in a court of law, once discovered, should receive the penalty they thought would go to the one they witnessed against (Deuteronomy 19:16-20), that “those who remain shall hear and fear, and hereafter they shall not again commit such evil among you.” Today, since “the authorities that exist are appointed by God,” then they “should not bear the sword in vain,” rather “he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil” (Romans 13:1-4).

When this “sword” is used against those who are doing “good,” the rest of us must “deliver” them! When government justifies the slaughter of innocent babies with “abortion,” it is against God! Thus, when someone is unjustly accused and condemned to death, our spirits should be stirred and actions aroused to “deliver” them from the hands of those who are about to kill the innocent. We cannot justify ourselves by saying “Surely, we did not know this,” for God knows whether or not we knew, and He will hold everyone accountable for what they knew but did not do. We cannot pull the blanket of “ignorance” over our heart and hide from God, for “I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings” (Jeremiah 17:10; Revelation 2:23).

No one knows about tomorrow, but God, so we must act today. “Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit;’ whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.’ But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin” (James 4:13-17).

God will hold accountable every Supreme Court Justice, President, Congressman/woman, and citizen who has mandated, supported, encouraged, advised, and consented to this slaughter of innocents. They, like King Herod (Matthew 2:16-21), will face their Maker with babies’ blood on their souls, unless they turn to the blood of the baby of Bethlehem whom God spared (Acts 2:38)! Christians cannot let those who govern think “they did not know this,” but by teaching, voting, discussing, and praying, try to bring moral sense back into their decision(s).

All Scriptures and comments are based upon the New King James Version, unless otherwise noted.
