People are afraid of Jesus Christ when they don’t know, nor understand, the truth about Him. He walked on the sea and His disciples “supposed it was a ghost, and cried out ” (Mark 6:49-50 NKJV). At His resurrection, the women were told: “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said” (Matthew 28:5-6 NKJV). “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments” (1 John 5:3 NKJV). People who don’t know nor understand the truth about salvation are afraid to be baptized to be saved. God explained: “do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?” (Romans 6:3 NKJV). No salvation is out of Christ. Fear not to obey.
