Naaman’s Assumptions

NAAMAN’S ASSUMPTIONS

2 Kings 5

I. Naaman assumed:

               1. He could buy his own cure. Verses 5-6

              2. That Jehoram would command his cure. Verses 6-7

              3. He knew what Elisha would do. Verse 11.

4, The cure was dependent upon the water quality. Verse 12.

II. People assume

              1. The more money they give the church, the more they deserve salvation. Obedience determines salvation. Heb. 5:8-9.

              2. They deserve a cure for sin. Titus 3:5.

              3. They know baptism doesn’t save. 1 Peter 3:21.

             4. They know the water is the power. Acts 22:16

Hunches And Assumptions

I have a hunch that some people won’t do what they say they will do and many times, I’ve had an incorrect assumption about the behavior of some people. This is what we get for labeling folks: http://mbriley.preachersfiles.com/2009/11/03/lets-avoid-labeling/
