Bible Riddle

This riddle sounds mean but it isn’t too bad:

This thing all things devours, birds, beasts, trees, and flowers.

Gnaws iron, bites steel, grinds hard stones down to meal.

Slays kings, ruins towns, and beats high mountains down.

What do you think? Thinking you need a nudge in the right direction? Check out Joshua 23:1-14. You’ll find the answer to this Bible Riddle there.

Be careful about clicking on the comments in case someone gives the answer.

Bible Riddle

Stretch your mind around this one:

What word is shorter when you add two letters to it?

Check out 1 Corinthians 7:25-40 for a move in the right direction in case you can’t figure it out.

Have a blessed week.

Bible Riddle

Here’s one of the best riddles that I’ve seen. You might have to let it slow cook for a while because it’s tough one!

“My first is twice in apple but not once in tart. My second is in liver but not in heart. My third is in giant and also in ghost. Whole I’m best when I am roast. What am I?”

So what do you think it is?

If you need a hint you can read Proverbs 11:22, Matthew 7:6, and Mark 5:11-16 and look for the word that the verses have in common.

Remember, as always, if you don’t want to know the answer be careful about clicking on the comments in case someone gives it.

Bible Riddle

Short and simple is the best way to put some riddles. Let’s see if we think that after hearing this one:

I have four legs but no tail! Usually I am heard only at night! What am I?

Four legs but no tail? You don’t see that very often, but it can be seen! So what’s the answer? Do you need a hint? If you do you can read Exodus 8:1-13 and look for the answer there.

And remember, if you don’t want to know the answer then be careful about clicking on the comments if there any because there are a few riddle masters who hang around here.

Have a great day!

Bible Riddle

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck…just kidding! Are you ready to put your thinking cap on? Here you go:

Soft and fragile is my skin, I get my growth in mud. I’m dangerous as much as pretty, for if not careful I draw blood. What am I?

What do you think? If you need a hint you can read Luke 8:4-15; John 19:1-6 and Hebrews 6:4-10 for a clue. Just look for the word that all the scripture references have in common.

In case someone gives the answer and you don’t want to see it, be careful about clicking on the comments.

Have a great day.

Bible Riddle

Let’s get the ole’ wheels a turning. I really like this riddle and I hope you do too:

My life can be measured in hours, I serve by being devoured.

Thin I am quick, fat I am slow,

Without a doubt, wind is my foe!

What am I?

What do you think? Do you know the answer? It’s not too hard if you work the riddle in reverse order, but if you need a hint check out Psalm 18:25-30 and Luke 8:16-18.

As always, feel free to share your answer but if you don’t want to know what the answer is, then be careful about clicking on the comments.

Have a great day!

Have fun, but as always, be careful about clicking on the comments just in case someone gives the answer…unless you’re wanting to give up 🙂

Bible Riddle

Nothing like a good riddle to help you think of some good scripture:

Each morning I appear to lie at your feet, All day I will follow no matter how fast you run, Yet I nearly perish in the midday sun. What am I?

So what do you think the answer is? Here are some scriptures to help if you need a hint – Psalm 23:4, Hebrews 10:1 and James 1:17.

Remember, in case someone gives the answer, be careful about clicking on those comments. Have fun!

Bible Riddle

This is probably my favorite Bible riddle. I think it ranks up toward the top on the difficulty side. I’ve even had people write the riddle down and tell them that the answer is in the riddle itself, but to no avail. Here you go:

I know a word of letters three. Add two, and fewer there will be.

So what’s the answer? Look up Matthew 7:14 and 1 Peter 3:20-21 if you need a hint. Have fun!

Be careful about clicking on the comments if you don’t want to see the answer.

Bible Riddle

This is a good one…can you figure it out?

“It can be seen, but it weighs nothing. And when it’s put in a barrel it can make it lighter. What am I?”

If you need a clue you can read 2 Kings 12:7-12 and Haggai 1:1-7 and look for a word that the two sections of scripture have in common. You’ll find the answer in there somewhere.

Be careful about clicking on the comments in case someone gives the answer.

Bible Riddle

Here’s a tough one for you. I’ll give two scripture references in case you can’t figure it out. Look for the common word in both of the references and you’ll find the answer.

A box without hinges, lock or key, yet golden treasures lie within. What is it?

Hint: Luke 11:9-12 and Job 6:5-7

If you don’t want to know the answer be careful about clicking on the comments just in case someone gives it 🙂

A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.” (Proverbs 17:22)

Bible Riddle…See if You Can Figure it Out

Here’s a tough question, but the answer is so simple once you hear it (if you haven’t heard it already):

It is greater than God and more evil than the devil. The poor have it, the rich need it and if you eat it you’ll die. What is it?

If you need a clue to figure out the answer it can be found somewhere in Matthew 10:25-33. The question isn’t “straight” from the scriptures, but the word that answers the question is found in the referenced “clue” scriptures. Have fun!

Spoiler Alert – If you don’t want to know the answer then don’t click on the comments.
