5-7-2015 Who Has Seen Jesus?

Jesus is revealed in the Bible – not on an iron, foil on a bottle of cider, a drainpipe, a tortilla, the side of a freezer, a potted asparagus fern, or a shroud of Turin! But, there is NO physical description of Jesus Christ anywhere in Scripture! Every depiction of Jesus, whether as a baby or on a cross, is totally without Scriptural fact, and entirely made-up by someone’s imagination! To Thomas, who had trouble believing that Jesus was raised from the dead, Jesus said: “Jesus said to him, ‘Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed’” (John 20:29 NKJV). We are to be looking in the Scriptures for Jesus Christ, not imagining Him in any other place!

Imagination was given to man to compensa…

Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not; a sense of humor to console him for what he is.

A Preaching Point

Since I’m the preacher of the hour today, my preaching point will be that evolution is still a godless theory devised by the vivid imagination of man. When we follow the God-directed path that the Bible talks about, we can rest assured that we won’t see a “dead-end” sign at the end of it (Proverbs 3:5-6; Psalm 23:1-3).

Using Bro. Jackson’s article to provide additional information and to lend added emphasis to the lesson:

Use my imagination? I think I left that …

Use my imagination? I think I left that ability behind after being employed by our local school district! 🙂 If the Lord wills, I’m going to be preaching Sunday, using Bro. Rubel Shelly’s good thoughts in this article:
